Netflix to release Mexican thriller series ‘El círculo’ on October 7

Netflix is set to release the Mexican thriller series ‘El círculo’ (Inside the Circle) on October 7. The production is an adaptation of the novel ‘Los corruptores’ by Mexican journalist and author Jorge Zepeda Patterson, which won the Premio Planeta.

The series follows four childhood friends—Jaime (Osvaldo Benavides), Tomás (Michel Brown), Amelia (Zuria Vega), and Mario (Raúl Briones)—who become entangled in a web of blackmail and danger following the murder of a famous actress and the leak of a compromising video. The narrative explores themes of power, corruption, and impunity, tracing how secrets and hidden interests connect politicians, business leaders, and media figures.

Directed by Alejandro Lozano and Bernardo De La Rosa, the series aims to bring this political thriller to a new generation of viewers through a high-tension psychological drama.
