Netflix releases German psychological thriller 'The Trap

Netflix has released 'The Trap' (Die Falle), a six-part German psychological thriller miniseries directed and written by Isabel Kleefeld. The production follows the creative team behind the acclaimed series 'Liebes Kind'.

Based on Melanie Raabe’s novel 'Der Schatten', the story centers on Lisa Konrad (played by Friederike Becht), a bestselling author who has lived in self-imposed isolation for ten years following the murder of her sister, Anna. After spotting a potential suspect on television, Lisa orchestrates a dangerous plan to lure the killer out, using herself as bait.

The series explores themes of grief, obsession, and the reliability of memory, featuring a cast that includes Hans Löw, Matthias Brandt, and Anna Schudt.
