Netflix unveils trailer for Indian comedy series Chumbak
The trailer for the Netflix series ‘Chumbak’ has been unveiled. Created by the team behind ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ and ‘Khichdi’, the show is written and directed by Aatish Kapadia and produced by Jamnadas (JD) Majethia and Kapadia.
Set in a contemporary urban Indian neighbourhood, the series focuses on five intertwined families. The cast includes Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Sumeet Raghvan, Sandeepa Dhar, Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Sumeet Vyas, Manasi Parekh, Delnaaz Irani, Anant V. Joshi, Amyra Dastur, and Atul Kumar.
Several cast members noted that the project marks a significant genre shift for them. Sandeepa Dhar described it as her first foray into comedy, while Helly Shah expressed that the role represents her first full-fledged comedy performance, noting her initial nervousness about the transition from dramatic roles.
