Netflix variety show ‘Daehwanjang Kianjang’ Season 2 announced

Netflix has announced the return of its variety show ‘Daehwanjang Kianjang’ for a second season. Moving from the summer seas of Ulleungdo, the new season is set in the snowy mountains of Daegwallyeong.

During a production briefing in Seoul, creator Kian84 shared that he spent a year developing ideas for the second location. The new lodging is designed with a ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ theme, featuring oversized furniture and props to create a fairytale-like atmosphere. While Kian84 expressed pride in the upgraded facilities, including a sauna and private rooms, he admitted the physical labor was grueling.

The cast features a new lineup of staff members, including former volleyball player Kim Yeon-kyung, actor Lee Jun-ho, and LE SSERAFIM’s Kazha. Lee Jun-ho noted the physical toll of the work, mentioning he suffered bruises while attempting to manage the unique environment. The season is scheduled for release on September 22.
