Netflix viewership led by ‘The Whisper Man’ and new content arrivals

Netflix's viewership rankings for the week of August 31 to September 6, 2026, show the crime thriller ‘The Whisper Man’ as the top English-language movie with 33.4 million views. The film, starring Adam Scott, Michelle Monaghan, and Robert De Niro, is an adaptation of Alex North’s novel.

In the English-language TV category, the true crime documentary series ‘Death of the Pastor’s Wife’ held the top position with 13.9 million views. Other notable performers include ‘The Gentlemen’ and ‘Outer Banks’.

New content arriving on the platform for the week of September 7–13 includes the stand-up special ‘Stavros Halkias: Uncle Stav’ and the animated adult comedy series ‘Dang!’. Additionally, Netflix will host a live broadcast of the NFL Melbourne Game featuring the San Francisco 49ers against the Los Angeles Rams on September 10.
