Netflix Yu Yu Hakusho live-action second season filming details emerge
Filming for a potential second season of the Yu Yu Hakusho live-action series is expected to begin on October 24 near Hiratsuka Station in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. While Netflix has not officially confirmed the renewal, reports indicate that initial night shoots will involve approximately 300 extras per day, suggesting large-scale street sequences.
Production responsibilities are set to shift from ROBOT to Kadokawa Daiei for the upcoming season. Previous episodes were filmed at Toho studios. While cast members such as Shun Oguri, Nobuaki Kaneko, Mirai Moriyama, and Mizuki Yamamoto have been rumored to join the production, their involvement remains unconfirmed.
The first season, which debuted in December 2023, condensed various manga arcs from the Spirit Detective arc through the Dark Tournament. The second season is rumored to adapt the remaining story, potentially covering the Chapter Black and Three Kings arcs to reach the Demon World Tournament.
