Netflix releases Brazilian MMA drama 'Fúria' set for July 29 debut

Netflix announced the Brazilian seriesFúria, a drama centered on mixed‑martial‑arts. The eight‑episode show, created by Igor Verde and Gustavo Bragança and directed by José Henrique Fonseca, will premiere on the streaming platform on July 29, 2026. It follows an amnesiac young man rescued by an MMA trainer, who is given the name Marcelo and finds purpose in fighting while uncovering clues to his mysterious past amid a network of crime and intrigue.

The series stars Vinícius Neri alongside Alice Carvalho, Bianca Comparato, Claudia Raia, Eduardo Moscovis, Fábio Lago, MC Cabelinho and Babu Santana. Production is a co‑operation between Netflix and Brazil’s Zola Filmes, which previously delivered acclaimed titles such as Bom Dia, Verônica and Mandrake.
