Netflix is launching a new Indian reality series, Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, built around a modern prison‑inspired environment. Production designer Umang Kumar describes the set as a contemporary lock‑up rather than a grim jail, featuring gray stone textures, steel structures, and contrasting zones for contestants and "jailers". Cells are compact, while the jailer area includes leather and wood finishes. Elevated surveillance points and industrial fans enhance the restrictive feel.

The design is intended to create psychological pressure, with privileges such as better bedding or access to a sofa granted based on performance in challenges. A video tour of the expansive set, including the control room and workshop space, showcases the scale and detail. The show is positioned as a fresh format for Netflix, unrelated to previous seasons of Lock Upp.
