Netflix's Lockerbie series premieres worldwide on July 30, 2026

Netflix and the BBC are releasing a six‑part drama titled "The Bombing of Pan Am 103" – known in Poland as "Zamach nad Lockerbie" – on 30 July 2026 at 09:00 CET. The series dramatizes the 21 December 1988 bombing of a Pan Am flight over the Scottish village of Lockerbie, which killed 270 people, and follows the lengthy joint investigation by Scottish police and the U.S. FBI.

The production, co‑written by Jonathan Lee and Gillian Roger Park and directed by Michael Keillor, features Connor Swindells, Patrick J. Adams, Merritt Wever and a supporting cast including Peter Mullan and Lauren Lyle. It previously aired on BBC One in May 2025 before the global Netflix launch. The show coincides with the upcoming U.S. trial of a Libyan defendant alleged to have built the bomb.

The series aims to portray the investigative work, the impact on the Lockerbie community and the experiences of victims' families, rather than focusing on the disaster itself.
