Netflix's Ransom Canyon Announces Season 2 Trailer, Premiere Date and Cast Lineup

Netflix released first‑look photos and a trailer for the second season of the drama series Ransom Canyon, confirming an eight‑episode run that will debut on July 23, 2026. The season picks up six months after the events of the first season, with rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) battling to regain control of his family’s Double K Ranch and musician Quinn O’Grady (Minka Kelly) returning from a stint in New York.

Creator April Blair said the writers’ room is already working on resolving the mystery surrounding Staten’s son’s death and expanding the love‑triangle dynamics introduced in season 1. Several original cast members will not return, including Eoin Macken’s Davis and other supporting roles, while Duhamel and Kelly have confirmed their participation. The new storyline includes a six‑month time jump and deeper political intrigue involving Staten’s father, a senator.

The announcements also clarified that the show will continue to explore the intertwined lives of the town’s families, with new plot threads set up for potential future seasons.
