Rabobank launches Agentic AI Hub to accelerate software development

The Dutch Rabobank has created an Agentic Hub to help its engineering teams adopt AI‑agents more quickly, safely and effectively in software development. The hub will provide shared frameworks, reusable building blocks and validated applications for AI‑agents that can perform tasks such as backlog refinement, code generation, code reviews and testing. By centralising these efforts, Rabobank aims to improve quality, security and compliance, and to prevent individual departments from experimenting with AI in isolation. The hub is led by Myrna Vonk, a long‑time employee who has overseen major technology transformations at the bank. Chief Information Technology Officer Alexander Zwart notes that the hub will accelerate the scaling of agentic‑AI across the full software‑development lifecycle and inform the IT organisation’s operating model. Other Dutch banks, including ING and ABN Amro, are also exploring agentic‑AI, but Rabobank is the first to establish a dedicated internal hub.
