Netherlands and Japan clash in 2026 World Cup Group F

The Netherlands face Japan in a Group F match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on June 14 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Both sides have met only three times before, most recently in the 2010 World Cup, which the Dutch won 1‑0. The Dutch, three‑time runners‑up, field stars such as Virgil van Dijk, Memphis Depay and Cody Gakpo and coach Ronald Koeman said, “We put a lot of pressure on ourselves. We want to go far in the tournament.” Japan, ranked 18th, arrive after defeating Germany, Spain, Brazil and England at the 2022 World Cup. Coach Hajime Moriyasu warned, “We have to survive this stage no matter what.” A win for either side improves its chance of advancing from the four‑team group, while the match will be broadcast on FOX in the United States and on NHK/ NPO in Japan.
