Netherlands builds new affordable senior care complexes in Vroomshoop and Loosduinen

In the eastern Dutch town of Vroomshoop, the Linderbeekhuis senior care residence reached the highest point of construction. Developed by the nationwide care organisation Dagelijks Leven, the facility will contain 21 studio apartments with private bathrooms and kitchenettes, shared living rooms, an activity space and a large kitchen. It is scheduled to open its doors to the first residents in early December.

Nearby in The Hague district of Loosduinen, Woonzorg Nederland, together with Stichting Eykenburg and Respect, is converting the former Wijndaelercentrum into a new senior housing complex. The project will provide 110 two‑bedroom and 15 three‑bedroom apartments in the social‑housing and mid‑segment sectors, plus a multifunctional community space. After completion, the co‑operative Wijkmakers will manage the site and coordinate care and wellbeing services for residents.
