Netherlands drought spurs free garden water advice and threatens irrigation bans
The municipality of Amersfoort and the regional water authority Waterschap Vallei en Veluwe have extended their free garden‑water‑advice programme, "Amersfoort Rainproof", to residents of Hoogland for the summer of 2026.
