Netherlands hosts 'Into Nature' peat moss exhibition and Stadspark centennial photo contest

The outdoor exhibition "Into Nature" opens in the De Onlanden bog area on the Groningen‑Drenthe border. Titled "Haunted by Waters," the show explores how society might rediscover wetlands and return land to water, featuring a speculative essay narrated by a piece of peat moss that reflects on carbon storage, historic peat loss and future ecological narratives.

In Groningen‑Haren, the municipal Stadspark marks its 100‑year anniversary with a nature‑photography competition called "Eeuwig Groen Stadspark." The contest runs until 31 August, offering senior and junior categories with zoom‑in (plants, animals) and zoom‑out (landscape) themes. Prizes of €200 per category and additional youth awards are available, and finalist images will be displayed in ’t Groene Hart pavilion in October.
