Netherlands launches €49 monthly unlimited summer train pass

The Dutch national railway company Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), in cooperation with the government, has introduced a summer unlimited train subscription called NS Flex Dal Vrij. The pass costs €49 per month, can be used for up to two months, and provides unlimited travel on all Dutch train operators outside peak hours, on weekends and public holidays. It is valid Monday‑Friday from 09:00‑16:00 and 18:30‑06:30, and from Friday 18:30 until Monday 04:00 on weekends. The offer excludes Eurostar services. Normally a month of travel costs €127.95.

“Anyone buying a subscription by 30 June can travel unlimited outside peak hours,” the operator said. The pass targets tourists pursuing “slow travel,” allowing journeys such as Amsterdam‑Utrecht in about 30 minutes or Amsterdam‑The Hague in roughly 50 minutes. About 400 stations across the country are covered. The promotion is available for purchase until 30 June.
