Netherlands opens 119 million euro subsidy for zero-emission trucks
The application window for the AanZET subsidy scheme, aimed at purchasing zero-emission trucks, will open on September 29, 2026, at 9:00 AM. A total of 119.2 million euros is available for this round, with funding sourced entirely from truck levy revenues.
The subsidy is restricted to new, fully zero-emission trucks in the N2 and N3 categories weighing 10,000 kilograms or more. The application process follows a phased approach: on September 29 and 30, entrepreneurs may submit one application for a maximum of two vehicles. From October 1, the limit increases to ten vehicles per application.
New conditions include the requirement that recipients must be able to prove a definitive purchase and order within one month of the subsidy decision upon request. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can receive priority by submitting an SME declaration, which will become mandatory starting in 2027. Applicants must use eHerkenning level 2+ or higher to submit applications online.
