Driver injured after frontal crash into tree in Arnhem, Gelderland

On Monday afternoon a car travelling on the Koningsweg in Arnhem struck a tree head‑on. Military personnel who were following the vehicle stepped out, provided immediate first aid and called emergency services. Police reported the driver had not consumed alcohol or drugs. The driver was taken by ambulance to hospital with unspecified injuries.

Earlier in the day a pedestrian was seriously injured at the zebra crossing on Sint Gangulphusplein in Arnhem. The victim was resuscitated by responders and air‑lifted to Radboudumc, though the trauma helicopter did not arrive on scene. Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
