Deventer container fire and motorcyclist injury in series of Dutch 112 incidents

A paper container ignited on a Deventer street corner, prompting the fire brigade to flood the underground bin with water and contain the blaze. Later that evening a motorcyclist lost control on the Nico Bolkesteinlaan in Deventer, crashed into the berm and was seriously injured before being taken to hospital.

Other emergencies across the Netherlands were reported the same day: a scooter burst into flames on the Trichtse voetpad near the Geldermalsen train station, a hay‑stack fire erupted at a manege in Geesteren, and a motorcyclist suffered a severe back injury after falling off a road on the Werverdijk in Wapenveld. Additional incidents included a minor motorbike collision in Delwijnen, a house fire in Winschoten, and a container fire in Deventer’s centre.
