Netherlands reports multiple road accidents, vehicle fires and emergency incidents (June 26‑27)

On June 26‑27, emergency services across the Netherlands responded to a series of incidents. Road collisions involved several vehicles on the A12 near Duiven, a three‑car pile‑up on the same highway, and accidents on the N310 in Arnhem and the N36 between Ommen and Hardenberg. One cyclist was injured after being hit near Duiven, and a cyclist was seriously hurt on the Hereweg in Stad. Fires broke out at a pig‑sty in Neede, a feed‑mill in Didam, and a paper container in Nunspeet, while a small blaze was tackled in a park in Veendam. Additional emergencies included a person found deceased after falling into the Waal near Tiel, a lift rescue in Leek due to extreme heat, and a bridge closure in Groningen caused by a technical fault. No serious injuries were reported in most vehicle crashes, and emergency crews contained the fires promptly.
