Netherlands Royal Family 2027 budget announced

The 2027 budget for the Dutch Royal Family has been announced, showing an increase from 60.8 million euros to 62.1 million euros. This budget includes constitutional payments, personal income for royal members, and functional expenses such as staff salaries, palace operations, and transportation.

King Willem-Alexander is set to receive a personal income of approximately 1.2 million euros, while Queen Máxima will receive approximately 475,000 euros. Under Article 40 of the Dutch Constitution, these personal incomes are exempt from personal taxes. The increase in these allowances is tied by law to the salary of the Vice President of the Council of State.

Operational costs are also rising, driven largely by increased personnel costs and wage developments. The budget allocates over 6 million euros for staff and support, 24 million euros for royal service personnel, and 13.8 million euros for material expenses. Other allocations include 3.4 million euros for the King's official business unit and 2.7 million euros for military advisory support.
