Netherlands sees spate of traffic‑related arrests for DUI and assault
Dutch police reported several incidents in mid‑June, including the arrest of a 21‑year‑old woman for driving under the influence of alcohol in Amsterdam and the detention of a 28‑year‑old tractor driver who tested positive for alcohol after a fatal collision with a cyclist in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel.
Additional arrests involved multiple men and women charged with assault, and a minor arrested after a burglary at a car‑rental firm. Police also carried out a scheduled traffic stop that resulted in two citations for driving without a licence. A series of traffic accidents across the country left several injured, including a scooter rider in Pijnacker and a cyclist in Eersel.
