Nethermind migrates from LayerZero to join Chainlink as node operator
Nethermind, an Ethereum engineering firm whose software powers approximately 25% to 30% of Ethereum nodes, has announced it is leaving its role as a LayerZero verifier to join the Chainlink Network.
As a node operator and strategic technology provider for Chainlink, Nethermind will focus on supporting the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Data Feeds. The company intends to provide engineering tools, infrastructure services, and integration support to blockchain developers to assist in bringing institutional players onchain.
Nethermind stated the transition follows an extensive review, though the firm did not disclose the specific technical or operational reasons for the move, nor the financial terms or a definitive completion date for the migration.
