Netland MKS Kalisz advances to EHF European Cup second round

Netland MKS Kalisz has advanced to the second round of the EHF European Cup for the 2026/2027 season after defeating the Czech side Handball Brno. Following a 28:23 victory in the first leg at home, the Polish team secured their progression with a 25:23 away win in the return match.

Despite an early lead by the Czech hosts, the team led by Rafał Kuptel maintained control throughout the game. Key contributors included Rościsław Poliszczuk and Jakub Moryń, who each scored five goals. Goalkeeper Piotr Wyszomirski also played a significant role in the victory, recording a 56% save rate during the match.

The second round of the competition is scheduled to take place on October 17-18 and 24-25. Another Polish representative, Rebud KPR Ostrovia Ostrów Wielkopolski, will also participate in the upcoming stage.
