NetLink Trust restores internet services in Bishan and Thomson

Fibre internet services in parts of Bishan and Thomson, Singapore, have been restored following a disruption that affected approximately 2,000 connections on September 15.

NetLink Trust reported that the outage was caused by damage to its fibre infrastructure during construction works conducted by a third-party contractor. Recovery efforts were reportedly complicated by site conditions, including water ingress and obstructions that limited access to underground cables.

Telecommunications providers Singtel, StarHub, and M1 noted that the disruption may have impacted their respective subscribers. NetLink Trust stated it is conducting a thorough review of the incident and will take follow-up actions once investigations are complete.
