Neto apologizes to BTS fans after criticizing group and traffic
Brazilian TV presenter and former footballer Craque Neto has issued a public apology to fans of the South Korean group BTS following controversial remarks made on his program, Os Donos da Bola. The controversy began when Neto criticized the group, questioning their musical talent and mocking their choreography, while expressing frustration over traffic congestion in São Paulo caused by the group’s concert preparations.
In response to the backlash, Neto stated that he listened to the group’s music and admitted, “I didn’t know they sang so well.” He also addressed reports that internet users had leaked his personal data and used it to falsely register him as a member of the Liberal Party (PL) and a supporter of the Flamengo football club. Neto clarified that he does not identify with those political or sporting affiliations.
Despite the tension, Neto confirmed he was invited to attend the BTS performance at the Morumbis stadium in a VIP area. He noted that he does not fear internet cancellation and intends to enjoy the event.
