NETSCOUT doubles Arbor Cloud DDoS mitigation capacity to 33 Tbps

NETSCOUT announced a major investment in its infrastructure and technology to double the capacity of its Arbor Cloud DDoS mitigation service to 33 terabits per second. The expansion, supported by the recent acquisition of a DDoS network and infrastructure, aims to keep critical digital services available during attacks, protect revenue‑generating operations, and sustain trust for always‑on AI‑driven businesses.

The upgraded service will operate across 16 global scrubbing centres, combining increased bandwidth with global threat intelligence derived from NETSCOUT’s visibility into real‑world internet attacks. Company officials cited the rise of multi‑vector attacks and mega‑botnets such as Aisuru and Kimwolf, which have pushed individual attack sizes toward the 30‑Tbps range. Carlos Morales, senior vice president and general manager of Arbor Cloud, said the enhanced capacity is essential for defending AI‑powered applications and cloud‑native services against increasingly sophisticated DDoS threats.
