Netto manager condemns customer verbal abuse in Denmark

A store manager at Netto in Ølby has spoken out against disrespectful customer behavior following an incident where a customer verbally abused a female employee over a dirty shopping basket. The employee, a woman in her twenties, was reportedly left in tears after being shouted at in her face.

Store manager Thomas Højgaard stated that such incidents are not isolated, noting that employees frequently face verbal abuse. This issue is supported by data from HK Erhverv, which indicates that 92 percent of retail employees under the age of 30 have experienced derogatory treatment from customers within the last 12 months.
