Neubäuer See camping site development discussed in Cham

Officials and operators are discussing the future development of the Neubäuer See camping site and restaurant in the Cham district. District Administrator Christian Schindler, Roding Mayor Alexandra Riedl, and Tourism Officer Petra Meindl met with operator André Notka to evaluate the site's current status and long-term prospects.

The Neubäuer See serves as both a protected natural moorland habitat and a significant driver for regional tourism and the economy. The camping site is a key component of this sector, supporting local jobs and supply chains. In 2025, the site recorded approximately 25,000 overnight stays. Since taking over operations in 2016, Notka has made substantial investments to enhance the facility's quality and attractiveness. Future success depends on maintaining ecological stability and developing effective infrastructure.
