Neumann launches KK 104 A and KK 105 A capsules for Sennheiser

Neumann has introduced the KK 104 A and KK 105 A, two new premium condenser capsule heads designed for Sennheiser wireless systems. Building upon the previous KK 204 and KK 205 models, these A-series capsules utilize condenser technology to provide studio-quality clarity, transparency, and fast transient response for live performances.

The new capsules are compatible with several Sennheiser wireless ecosystems, including Spectera, EW-D, EW-DX, and Digital 6000/9000 transmitters. They feature a revised design intended to reduce handling noise and include a hardened steel basket with an integrated pop shield to protect against moisture and control plosive sounds.

To ensure consistent audio quality, the capsules include a fixed bass roll-off to compensate for the proximity effect during close-mic use. According to Stephan Mauer, Director of Product Management at Neumann, these models are optimized for modern wireless workflows while maintaining the brand’s signature sound character.
