Neunkirchen renovates Bachplatz infrastructure

The district town of Neunkirchen is currently renovating the Bachplatz. While construction is not yet fully complete, the public parking lot near the tax office has been reopened for use to minimize disruption to local traffic.

The project involved the removal and renewal of approximately 3,000 square meters of asphalt to address significant damage, including cracks, uneven surfaces, and structural instability. Additionally, a 175-meter drainage channel was installed to improve water management. The renovation encountered higher-than-expected costs and labor due to the discovery of larger quantities of contaminated and damaged materials that required professional disposal. Remaining tasks include tree maintenance, installing permanent signage, and minor finishing works.
