Neuquén approves Provincial Day of Science and Technology

The Education, Culture, Science, and Technology Commission in Neuquén has unanimously approved a bill to establish November 3 as the Provincial Day of Science, Technology, and Innovation. The initiative aims to recognize the scientific-technological system's contribution to provincial development and foster scientific vocations.

Representatives from the Neuquén Agency for Innovation for Development (ANIDE) reported that a provincial survey identified approximately 1,800 individuals dedicated to knowledge production and innovation within the province. ANIDE's strategic policy focuses on three pillars: linking knowledge production to community needs, encouraging scientific interest among youth, and strengthening public science communication. The chosen date, November 3, honors the origins of the University of Neuquén, a predecessor to the current Universidad Nacional del Comahue.
