Argentina police arrest suspects in two separate homicide cases

Authorities in Argentina have made significant progress in two separate homicide investigations.

In Neuquén, a man identified as C. A. C. has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Nicolás Agustín Sáez. Sáez, who had a diagnosis of autism, had been missing since September 5. Investigators found his charred body in the Centenario Industrial Park area. Prosecutors allege that C. A. C., a former friend of the victim, lured Sáez to a remote location under false pretenses, attacked him with a large stone causing fatal head trauma, and later attempted to conceal the body by setting it on fire.

In Mendoza, police arrested Cristian Alejandro Cabrera Ramírez, a 48-year-old man with a criminal record, in connection with the death of 7-year-old Leonel Santino Ortiz. The child was killed during a violent shooting at a residence in the Villa Junín settlement in Las Heras. The attack involved multiple shots fired from a red vehicle during a pursuit of several individuals. The suspect is currently at the disposal of the justice system as investigations continue to determine the full circumstances of the shooting.
