Neuquén boxing community demands federation elections
Boxers, trainers, and stakeholders in Neuquén are demanding that the Neuquén Boxing Federation (FNB) call for elections and resume the organization of competitions within the province.
Critics point out that while neighboring regions in Río Negro, La Pampa, Chubut, and Mendoza maintain active schedules of amateur and professional boxing festivals, Neuquén has seen a months-long absence of such events. This lack of activity is reportedly harming local athletes, coaches, and their families.
The group has questioned the management of Omar Tapia, calling for accountability regarding licenses, club support, and development projects. Some reports indicate that previous assemblies have been challenged due to outdated documentation and missing financial balances. The FNB has not yet issued a public response to these claims.
