Neuquén debt relief plan reaches 200 families via BPN
The Neuquén Family Relief and Credit Recovery Plan has seen rapid adoption, with approximately 199 families accessing new refinancing lines through the Banco Provincia del Neuquén (BPN) within ten days of its launch. These initial loans total more than 2,259 million pesos.
Announced by Governor Rolando Figueroa on August 28, the initiative aims to help residents reorganize financial obligations by unifying debts under improved terms. The new credit line allows clients to cancel existing BPN debts, including principal, interest, commissions, and expenses, with loans reaching up to 50 million pesos.
Repayment terms vary by currency: up to 60 months for peso-denominated operations at a fixed annual nominal rate (TNA) of 35%, and up to 36 months for UVA-denominated operations at UVA + 5%. To ensure stability, monthly installments are capped at 30% of the beneficiary's net income. Eligibility is limited to individuals residing in Neuquén who hold a specific debtor classification from the Central Bank.
