South American regions face severe weather alerts

Multiple regions across South America are facing severe weather conditions. In Argentina, the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) has issued various alerts. Mendoza is under an orange alert for heavy snowfall, with accumulations potentially reaching 150 cm. San Juan is experiencing Zonda winds with gusts exceeding 70 km/h, while Neuquén faces alerts for heavy rain, snow, and high winds.

In Chile, the Los Ríos region is under a preventive early warning from SENAPRED due to potential electrical storms, heavy rain, and a high risk of landslides and mudflows as reported by SERNAGEOMIN.

Venezuela is seeing widespread rain and thunderstorms driven by Tropical Waves 41 and 42, according to Inameh. Additionally, Saharan dust concentrations are affecting air quality in the country.
