Argentina implements various public sector salary and budget updates
Various administrative and financial updates are being implemented across several Argentine provinces and municipalities.
In Neuquén, Governor Rolando Figueroa has approved a salary recomposition for the provincial police force via Decree 1195. The new scale sets the starting net salary at $1,934,452, with scheduled increases tied to the Consumer Price Index (IPC) and additional fixed percentages through 2027.
In Buenos Aires, Governor Axel Kicillof and Banco Provincia signed agreements totaling $16.2 billion to assist 18 municipalities in acquiring capital goods such as machinery, health equipment, and vehicles through the Provincia Leasing program.
National updates include a 1.89% increase for ANSES retirees and pensioners, as well as a specific food supplement (Prestación Alimentar) for certain beneficiaries. Additionally, the national government has officialized a 2.1% increase in fees for disability services.
In the military sector, the Ministry of Defense has updated salary scales for the Army, Navy, and Air Force for August, with top officer ranks exceeding $3.3 million. Local municipal adjustments were also noted, including a 10% increase for La Plata workers and a 4.5% increase in Feliciano.
