Neuquén Governor visits US to secure Vaca Muerta investments

Neuquén Governor Rolando Figueroa is conducting a strategic mission to the United States, visiting Washington, D.C., and Houston to attract investment for the Vaca Muerta energy region. The mission focuses on infrastructure, energy opportunities, and the province's plan to expand large-scale Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) exports.

In Washington, Figueroa will meet with Argentine Ambassador Alejandro Oxenford and participate in an investor breakfast featuring Harold Hamm, founder of Continental Resources. He is also scheduled to meet with Juan Pablo Segura, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, and officials from the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

The tour continues in Houston, where the governor will sign a financing agreement for road infrastructure projects. This agreement involves several major energy operators active in Vaca Muerta, including YPF, Chevron, Pampa Energía, Pan American Energy, Shell, and Total Austral.
