Neuquén launches new sanitary agent training program
Authorities in Neuquén have formalized interministerial agreements to launch a new technical training program: the Higher Technician in Sanitary Agent and Community Health Promotion. The initiative involves the provincial ministries of Health and Education, alongside mayors from Neuquén, Chos Malal, Zapala, and San Martín de los Andes.
Registration for the program is scheduled to open from February 1 to February 10, 2027, with classes beginning immediately that month. The training is specifically designed for sanitary agents currently working within the provincial health system.
Governor Rolando Figueroa noted that the province is facing continuous challenges, necessitating investments in health infrastructure and regionalized teamwork. Health Minister Martín Regueiro emphasized that sanitary agents are vital as they serve as the primary entry point to the health system and work directly within local communities. Currently, there are 302 sanitary agents distributed across the province's regions.
