Río Negro and Neuquén implement regional development initiatives

In the Argentine provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén, regional governments are implementing new initiatives focused on education, economic development, and investment.

Río Negro has expanded its school cooperative network to 27 active cooperatives and two mutuals, following the incorporation of the Don Bosco school. Subsecretary Martín Vesprini noted the pedagogical value of these programs, which allow students to assume responsibilities and learn cooperative values. Additionally, the province has renewed cooperation agreements with foundations and companies to better connect secondary students with the labor market and higher education.

In Neuquén, the government is promoting regional economic growth through new vocational training and investment incentives. The province has launched two new higher education programs: a Technical Degree in Logistics and Supply in Las Lajas and a Technical Degree in Gastronomy in Junín de los Andes, which have already attracted approximately 300 enrollees. Furthermore, through the ‘Invierta en Neuquén’ law, the province is offering fiscal benefits and infrastructure improvements to attract private capital for tourism and service sectors.
