Neuquén launches tenders for sports center and electronic voting system

The Neuquén provincial government has initiated two significant bidding processes. The province is seeking contractors for the Buta Ranquil Community Sports Center, with an official budget of approximately $5.79 billion pesos and a 365-day construction timeline. Bids for this project are scheduled to be opened on November 13.

Additionally, Governor Rolando Figueroa signed a decree authorizing a $6.1 billion peso tender for an electronic single ballot system (Boleta Única Electrónica) to be used in the 2027 general elections. The system is intended to serve approximately 630,000 voters across various categories, including governor, provincial deputies, mayors, and council members. This procurement will impact several municipalities that coordinate their election dates with the provincial schedule, such as Aluminé, Añelo, Centenario, Senillosa, El Chañar, and El Chocón.
