Neuquén legislators propose drones and camera integration for security
In Neuquén, legislators are debating several initiatives to enhance public safety and child protection. One proposal by Deputy Marcelo Bermúdez seeks to integrate private security camera footage into the provincial police monitoring system. Supporting this, Deputy Brenda Buchiniz suggested incorporating drones to extend surveillance capabilities to rural and isolated areas where fixed cameras are unavailable.
Additionally, the Human Rights Commission is reviewing a proposal by Mariano Rolla to modernize the 'Alerta Nati' system. The initiative aims to use mobile messaging to send rapid, geographically targeted alerts to cell phones (ranging from 2G to 5G) to assist in the search for missing minors.
Separately, in the Buenos Aires Senate, the Commission for Children, Adolescents, and Family approved a project to include digital violence within the provincial Family Violence Law. The commission also moved forward with a proposal to designate April 4 as a day dedicated to protecting children and adolescents in contexts of gender violence.
