Neuquén Municipality to resume Mandalari Street works
Provincial courts have rejected an injunction that was suspending paving and connectivity works on Mandalari Street, allowing the Municipality of Neuquén to resume construction in the northern sector of the city.
The judicial ruling lifts the preventive suspension but mandates that the local government, through the Undersecretariat of Environment and Citizen Protection, maintain rigorous control and monitoring of the Environmental Management Plan. This is intended to mitigate negative environmental impacts and manage risks associated with the project.
Francisco Baggio, the Undersecretary of Environment and Citizen Protection, stated that the municipality is prepared to restart tasks as soon as possible. He noted that the decision validates the municipality's adherence to environmental and technical standards. The court also ordered that all technical progress and environmental preservation efforts be periodically reported and shared with the public to ensure transparency.
