Argentina provinces implement diverse educational and infrastructure reforms
Various provincial governments in Argentina are implementing diverse initiatives to improve educational infrastructure and student support.
In Entre Ríos, the government has invested nearly 60 billion pesos in school infrastructure, completing over 300 projects to benefit 165,000 students. This includes a major renovation project for the Texier school in San Salvador. In Chubut, the government completed an integral renovation of School No. 38 in Cushamen, addressing long-standing sanitary risks by relocating septic tanks away from classrooms.
Technological advancement is also a focus. In San Juan, over 2,500 students received computers through the “Maestro de América” program. In Neuquén, the province is expanding connectivity to nearly 300 schools, including rural areas, using Starlink satellite technology. Additionally, Río Negro has provided new equipment to technical schools in Allen and Cipolletti to strengthen energy sector training.
Social support programs are also active, such as the EduActiva program in Santa Cruz, which distributed 4,100 pairs of sneakers to students in Caleta Olivia, and vision health initiatives in Pilar to provide free eyeglasses for schoolchildren.
