Neuquén police arrest two suspects after armed chase
Two young men were arrested in central Neuquén following a high-speed police chase that involved shots fired in the air. The incident began when a police unit identified a black Renault Clio in the Centro Este neighborhood. The vehicle was suspected of being used in at least two robberies at the Alto Comahue Shopping parking lot over the past month.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle near a service station, the occupants ignored orders and fled. During the pursuit, a passenger reportedly discharged a firearm into the air. Police established a perimeter, forcing the suspects to abandon the car. The two individuals, aged between 20 and 25 and reportedly from Plottier, were captured after a brief foot chase and taken to the 1st Police Station.
