Neuquén police identify finger found at bar as special effects prop
A disturbing discovery in Neuquén, Argentina, initially led authorities to believe a human finger had been left in front of a local business. Employees at the Santorini Coffee Store on Illia Street reported finding what appeared to be a finger tied with wire on a fence during the weekend.
Following an investigation by criminalistics experts and the intervention of Prosecutor Guadalupe Inaudi, it was determined that the object was not human remains. Instead, the item was identified as a prop used for special effects and makeup.
Security cameras captured an individual placing the object at the scene. While the investigation remains open to determine the motive, authorities are currently treating the incident as a potential hoax or a malicious prank.
