Neuquén province faces cold and windy conditions on July 8

A cold front will affect Neuquén province on Wednesday, July 8, bringing temperatures near freezing in the capital and peripheral areas. Maximum highs will range from 14 °C to 16 °C, while minima will drop to 0 °C or lower in places such as Zapala and Chos Malal.

Strong winds are forecast across the region, with gusts reaching 60–65 km/h in Zapala and the north‑west sector of the province. Snowfall is expected in the cordillera, especially around San Martín de los Andes, where clouds will be mostly dense and temperatures will stay between 2 °C and 9 °C.

Precipitation will persist in the mountain zone, prompting authorities to suspend classes in San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura as a precautionary measure. Elsewhere, conditions will be partly cloudy with light winds.
