Neuquén Province opens first high‑performance boxing centre
The Neuquén provincial boxing federation and the municipality of Vista Alegre signed an agreement to allocate a 50 × 50 metre plot for the province’s first high‑performance boxing centre. The project, backed by Mayor José Carlos Asaad, Secretary of Sports Ezequiel Benavídez, federation president Omar Tapia and promoter Miguel Serraiotto, aims to provide training facilities, promote social inclusion and develop future athletes across Neuquén.
A boxing festival is scheduled for 8 August at the SAF N°2 venue in Vista Alegre. Organized by MAS Producciones under the federation’s supervision, the event will feature a professional bout between local Juan Pablo Principito Sosa and Leonardo Torrecilla for a provincial title, alongside numerous amateur matches in various weight classes. Advance tickets cost 15,000 pesos, with door prices at 20,000 pesos.
