Emergency and social assistance services reported across Latin America

Various regional reports highlight emergency services, public health initiatives, and social assistance across Latin America. In Mexico, INEGI data shows a rise in emergency calls, including a 50 percent increase in commercial fires and a 13.4 percent rise in reports of missing minors.

In Argentina, several community-focused operations are underway. In Neuquén, a winter shelter for people experiencing homelessness successfully provided medical care to a woman, discovering she was pregnant during a routine checkup. Other regional efforts include health service deployments in Luján and Lanús, and a specialized rescue mission in Arroyo Blanco to assist a woman isolated by heavy snow. In Córdoba, emergency responders stabilized a 13-day-old infant who had choked.

In Chile, the Chilean Air Force (FACH) conducted an urgent aeromedical evacuation of a 67-year-old critical patient from Rapa Nui to Santiago for neurosurgical treatment.
