Neuquén's ISSN to provide full eyewear coverage for seniors

The Instituto de Seguridad Social del Neuquén (ISSN) has announced that, starting September 1, 2026, affiliates over the age of 65 will receive 100% coverage for eyeglass frames and lenses. This measure aligns with the Ministry of Health’s provincial “CUIDAR+65” Plan and was approved by the institution’s Board of Administration to enhance healthcare protection for seniors.

Under the new regulations, participating optical providers must clearly inform members of the base options included in the full coverage program. If an affiliate chooses to upgrade to more expensive frames, superior technical lenses, or specific treatments, they will only be responsible for paying the difference between the selected product and the amount agreed upon with the ISSN.
